Highly versatile, these revolutionary new radios combine the mission critical security and advanced performance of TETRA with a second high-speed data bearer.
Data and voice functions combine in this IP68 compliant handset which increases range and functionality while, for the first time, offers a real migration path from TETRA to TETRA and LTE in one device.
The LTE standard is still being developed but when it's ready, we have a clearly defined route of migration, and knowing that higher speeds of data will mean richer multimedia, the new handsets already feature the largest colour screen on the market.
The vision of LTE speeds being incorporated within a radio network is not just a dream, as Teltronic (part of the Sepura group) have demonstrated in Oct '15 with the implementation of a communications network for Bilbao Metro.
Encompassing voice and data, the fully integrated TETRA-LTE system provides real-time video transmission between trains, stations and the Command and Control Center in Bilbao, as well as from portable devices owned by the security staff on board or in the station. Real-time video from cameras at stations can also be displayed.
